Can you imagine having the Apostle Paul as a spiritual father? Timothy enjoyed the privilege of having Paul as an authentic spiritual father. Paul invested in Timothy’s life. It is very likely that Paul led Timothy to faith in Jesus Christ. Paul provided Timothy with firsthand experience on his missionary journeys. Timothy observed Paul’s faith in action. Their relationship was mutually beneficial and made a tremendous Kingdom impact for the glory of God.

If you have had an authentic spiritual father in your life, then you are blessed with a special deposit. God has given you a tangible expression of His love and grace by allowing you to do life with a spiritual father who embodies the character of Christ. Think about the spiritual father that God has brought into your life. Think about the insights you have gleaned and the experiences you have captured through the relational velocity of a spiritual father. Perhaps you have more than one spiritual father. It is possible to have many spiritual fathers who have invested in your life over the years.

Give thanks to God for the influential spiritual relationships that have helped you in becoming a fully devoted follower of Christ.
